Happy Wednesday Coos Bay School District families,
Here is a snapshot of the Weekly County Metrics as of September 19. Under the governor's guidance, both Coos County AND statewide test positivity rates must be below 5% (for three weeks in a row) to safely open schools for all students K-12. Students in grades K-3 have slightly different standards in order to return to in-person instruction.
Currently, the county is sitting at 1.0% and the state is at 6.2%, allowing only K-3 students to return to in-person learning at this time.
We'll continue to post these numbers weekly on Facebook and CBD9.net to keep you up-to-date.
