Good morning Coos Bay School District Families,
The latest county metrics have been posted and Coos County had 19 new cases for the week which equates to 30 per 100,000 residents. The guidance states that if the county metric is greater than 30 per 100,000 that we would need to begin to monitor the metrics closely and begin preparations to move to Distance Learning if the number of cases continues to be above that rate. In this case the number is not over 30 so we still qualify to stay in-person for K-3 students. We will be monitoring these metrics very closely this week and hope that the number of cases goes down.
Thank you to parents and teachers for your hard work to start this year. We will continue to monitor and adjust to make sure we are supporting students, families, and staff.
If you have questions or concerns as we continue this school year, please contact your child’s teacher or administrator. Have a great week!
