Good afternoon CBSD Families,
The latest round of metrics are out and we landed below the 30 cases per 100,000 in Coos County. Those metrics still allow us to continue our KG-3 in-person instruction and Comprehensive Distance Learning (CDL) for our 4th – 12th grade students.
However, Coos Health and Wellness, our local health authority, has asked that we begin to “prepare” for a move to CDL district-wide should the cases continue to rise. We are not being told to move K-3 to Comprehensive Distance Learning at this point, just begin to prepare so we are ready should the case count in our county increase even more.
Thank you staff, friends, and family for all you’re doing for our kids. We know there have been roadblocks, but we will continue to adjust and problem solve to make sure we are supporting students, families, and staff alike.
If you have questions or concerns as we continue this year, please contact your child’s teacher or administrator. Have a great week!
