Thirteen swimmers will represent Marshfield High School at the OSAA state swimming championships this weekend after the Marshfield boys and girls swim teams each finished second in the Special District 4 meet in Cottage Grove.
Swimmers from North Bend captured both the district titles with the North Bend girls scoring 341 points to 223 for Marshfield. The boys meet was much closer with North Bend scoring 375.5 points while Marshfield had 336.
The top two finishers in each race advanced to the state meet that will kick off Friday at the Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center.

In the district meet, the Marshfield swim teams had several winners.
The boys 4x50 medley relay team, which included Quinton Kloster, Jack Waddington, Markus Kliewer, Trevor Robbins, Nathaniel Kinney and Jamison Batdorff won in 1:50.63.
Markus Kliewer captured the boys 500 freestyle in 5:23.28, Quinton Kloster won the boys 100 back in 1:03.03 and Jack Waddington won the boys 100 breaststroke in 1:04.66.
On the girls side, Allison Wright led Marshfield with two individual titles. Wright won the 100 butterfly in 1:02.40 and the 500 freestyle in 5:37.31.
