The Marshfield girls basketball team is heading to the Class 4A State Tournament.
The Pirates punched their ticket to the state tournament Friday with a 48-37 win over Molalla to advance to the tournament in Forest Grove. Marshfield will begin play at 3:15 p.m. Thursday against Henley.
Marshfield is the No. 4 seed in the tournament. Earlier this year, the Pirates beat Henley in the Skyline/Sky-Em Crossover Tournament.
The other games in the first round of the tournament include No. 1 Baker vs. No. 9 Madras, No. 2 Gladstone vs. No. 10 Philomath, and No. 3 Astoria vs. No. 11 Crook County.
Marshfield’s radio station will air the Pirates’ games from Forest Grove. Pirate radio can be heard at 105.1 FM and 1420 AM.
