Madison School is hosting a variety of activities next week, giving students and families an opportunity to take part in Screen Free Week.
Beginning Tuesday, May 2, the school will host after-school activities for families in an effort to keep students active and off their screens.
On Tuesday, May 2, Madison will host Outdoor Fun and Games Night from 6 to 7 p.m. The school will host a variety of events on the Madison playground on Tuesday night.
On Wednesday, May 3, former Madison teacher Mary-Margaret Stockert will lead a hike around Empire Lakes at John Topits Park. Students and families will meet Mary-Margaret at 4 p.m. near the main entrance to John Topits Park, and they will all take part in the scenic hike.
On Thursday, May 4, Madison will host a Literacy and Flashlight Reading Night from 6 to 7 p.m. Librarian Teri Jones will read to the students, and there will be free books for all students.
