The Marshfield High School speech and debate team continues to make its mark as one of the best in Oregon.
Over the weekend, the MHS team competed in the state tournament and placed third overall.
The Marshfield team did have two individual state champions as Cece Visser won the state title in program oral interpretation while Wilbur Lovelady was crowned state champion in poetry.
Junior Barrera finished third in humorous interpretation and the team of Abby Erb and Becky Degan reached the semifinals in duo interpretation.
