Marshfield sophomore Bella Roberts improved her score by four strokes to improve to 13th place in the OSAA state golf championships held Monday and Tuesday.
After opening with a round of 90, Roberts shot a second-round score of 86 to finish with a two-day score of 176 at the Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis.
Ava Austria of Catlin Gabel and Maddie Dustin of Cascade tied for the individual title with rounds of 145.
Sophomore Analise McCord had two rounds of 96 to finish at 192, good for 29th place overall. Sophomore Shay Herzog had rounds of 96 and 103 to finish at 199 and placed 34th overall.
Senior Emily Ryan closed our her Marshfield career with rounds of 117 and 109 to place 46th and freshman Ava Gauthier had rounds of 116 and 115 to place 52nd.
On the boys’ side, senior Oscar Day had rounds of 78 and 81 to narrowly miss out on a top-10 finish, closing the state tournament in 11th place overall.
Tyce Helmick of Ontario finished at 1 under par to win the individual state title.
Sophomore Kody Chandler had rounds of 90 and 91 to place 32nd with a two-day score of 181. Freshman Enoch Niblett had rounds of 94 and 91 to finish at 185 to place 35th.
Sophomore Eli Luckman shot rounds of 99 and 101 to place 47th and freshman Mason Aurdahl shot rounds of 99 and 106 to finish 51st overall.
