This afternoon, the Oregon Health Authority released news regarding future changes to the indoor mask mandate.

The power is back on and we are a go to return to school on Monday.

As of today, we are no longer requiring PCP or MH referrals. Parents (and patients over 14) can now self-refer and we will take care of getting the documentation from PCP and MH after their first appointment.

We have been working with the Oregon Health Authority and our Local Health Authority to begin the “Test to Stay” program in the month of January. The program will allow students who test negative after exposure to remain at school. This has the potential to drastically reduce the amount of quarantines for individuals and classrooms.

The Coos Bay Schools Community Foundation awarded 42 grants worth $53,236 to programs in Coos Bay Public Schools.
